Assignment to Training/Regular Units

Policy New or former employees in, or employees transferred into, social work staff positions and involved in pre-service training must be assigned to an assessment/services unit upon hiring or transferring and be supervised by a Social Work Supervisor who meets the required qualifications for training supervisor.
Required Conference When employees are transferred, there shall be a conference between the regional Program Supervisor for Training, the Assessment/Services Program Supervisor, the Training Unit supervisor, the Social Work Supervisor and the employee.

The results of this conference shall be documented and placed in the employee’s regional office personnel file.

Assignment to Regular Social Work Units Employees shall be placed into an investigation or regular assessment/services unit upon completion of the ten month working test period and upon the completion of a satisfactory service evaluation by the training supervisor.
