| Introduction |
The following persons are authorized to grant
emergency medical permission to treat a child who is committed to the Department.
They should be called at their listed office telephone numbers on weekdays from 8:30 A.M.
to 4:30 P.M. Important Note: After 4:30 P.M. on weekdays, and at anytime on a
weekend or holiday, the after-hours Hotline telephone number should be used. It is
1-800-842-2288 in Connecticut, (203)344-2599 if calling from out-of-state. All after-hours
shift supervisors are authorized to grant emergency medical permission. |
| Health Management Unit |
The Health Management Unit (HMU) may be contacted
as a consulting resource in determining whether emergency medical permission should be
granted. The Health Management Unit may be contacted at 550-6461. |
