Help Desk

Information Systems shall staff a Help Desk to provide telephone and e-mail support for hardware and software problems that cannot be resolved by the local staff.

The Help Desk may be reached by e-mail at the Help Desk address.   

Department Supported Software

Information Systems shall maintain a listing of software which is a part of the Department's information architecture and is currently supported by the Department. 

Such software will have been tested to meet Information Systems architecture and performance standards.

Information Systems staff shall be trained on the software.

All computer users assume responsibility for the proper care and usage of all Department software.

The list of Department supported software may be obtained from the Director of Information Systems.

Department Supported Hardware

All hardware purchased and/or approved by Information Systems shall be serviced for routine maintenance and equipment breakdowns.  The repair of Department personal computing equipment shall be provided by Information Systems directly or through a third party maintenance contract. 

All computer users assume responsibility for the proper care and usage of all Department hardware.
