This
chapter contains court policy sections regarding the Superior Court for
Juvenile Matters and the Probate Court.
The sections are designed to assist Social Work staff to access the
various court systems and understand legal issues that impact child
welfare practice.
Note
that this chapter does not include all of the myriad legal issues that can
arise. Social Workers shall
consult with legal staff regarding questions.
Additional
guidance regarding Probate Courts is provided by the Probate Court Manual
for Social Workers Regarding Child Custody Matters, issued by the Office
of the Probate Court Administrator.
