Superior Court For Juvenile Matters

TPR:  Social Study

Social Study  The Social Study for the Superior Court for Juvenile Matters must be submitted at least three (3) days prior to the plea hearing.  The Study shall be reviewed by the Social Work Supervisor and or Principal Attorney  or Staff Attorney and approved by the Program Supervisor.
Number of Children Per Social Study  

The Social Worker may complete one (1) Social Study by combining information for all children in the case. 

When writing a Social Study for more than one child, the Social Worker shall be specific regarding which child is being referred to when providing examples of conduct, individual development, or any other aspect that applies to only one child.
Signatures The Social Worker, Social Work Supervisor, and Program Supervisor shall sign the Social Study.
Format for the Social Study Refer to the attachment to this policy for the Format For The Social Study For Termination of Parental Rights.
Update of the Social Study The original and the number of copies indicated on the checklist shall be provided to the court, and one (1) copy shall be filed in the case record.
