The Division of Policy and the Office of Public Information
have a formal liaison relationship. A main purpose is to ensure the availability and
effective communication of Department policy to the public. A cooperative agreement
outlines responsibilities of both Units. (Reference Chapter 2) The Division of Policy
will:
•be available to provide consultation upon request concerning regulatory and
policy issues and questions
•provide copies of newly issued policy packages to the Office of Public Information,
and
•provide the Office of Public Information with a complete copy of the new policy
manual when issued.
